Old Colony Players is a non-profit corporation located in Valdese, North Carolina. It is administered by a volunteer Board of Directors and a part-time paid staff consisting of a General Manager and a House Manager. The Board of Directors sets the general policies of Old Colony Players, Inc. and administers the organization through standing committees as needed. General committees include, but are not limited to, the Amphitheatre House and Grounds Committee, the Play Selection Committee, and the Fund Raising Committee. The General Manager is in charge of the day to day operations of the organization. The Board of Directors appoints its own members with one member recommended by the Valdese City Council. As with most theater companies, Old Colony Players cannot depend on ticket sales and fund raisers alone for its support. Old Colony Players receives donations from private individuals, corporations, businesses, foundation grants, and government grants.
